The Story Behind The Raffle
This bike is dedicated to my uncle Mark "Dog Man" Nevil (109). He was a former pro rider who retired from motocross until I talked him back into racing when I was 13. I was a young shit talker, and he never missed an opportunity to compete. After months of hearing me tell him how he was washed up and had no gas left in his tank from not riding for over 15 years, he went out and bought a bike just to prove me wrong. We both ended up buying Honda CR250Rs, and he taught me how to ride. We raced every weekend for years after. He used the bike to win the 35+ pro class, 40+ class, and then 45+ class, winning at the highest level at local events. He later traded it in for a 450 and regretted it, wishing he had kept his 250 2-stroke. Mark always wanted to buy another one like the one he had and rebuild it, but never had the chance to.

So I built this bike to honor him. He was OCD, and that is how he influenced me to be with all of my work. I built this bike how he would have. An original, clean look, nothing too flashy, and I put his number on it instead of mine for him. I made sure he would have approved of my work because he was so anal and wouldn’t want it any other way. My father says it’s exactly how he would have done it himself. And here we've got the result… not too shabby for an old man’s bike.
